Jefferson Matters: Main Street has appointed two new members to its board of directors, Lynda Cochran and Amy Roberts.
Cochran retired after 36 years as an administrative assistant at Jefferson-Scranton Middle School. She and her husband LeRoy have two grown children and two grandchildren. She serves a co-chair of the JM:MS promotion committee.
Cochran is involved in the Greene County Medical Center Hospital auxiliary, PEO, Garden Club, Friday Club and JM:MS Tower View Team.
Roberts is a community activist and school parent. She and her husband Jason have four school-age children enrolled in the Greene County Community School District. She is co-chair of the JM:MS promotion committee and a member of the JM:MS Tower View Team.
She is active as a volunteer reading coordinator in the elementary school and participates in local theatre.
